Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design Le Rouge et le Noir Fashion Design by Yunxi Liu Le Rouge et le Noir is a fashion collection inspired by the musical adapted from Stendhal's novel of the same name. The collection interprets the emotions of the protagonist Julien through a French rock aesthetic. Nineteenth century European court silhouettes are combined with punk details. The classic red and black color scheme echoes the themes of the novel. Each piece is handcrafted with genuine leather, rivets, safety pins and other custom made elements. The result presents a meeting of classic and contemporary design elements.
