The jacket has three layers joined by zippers: a windproof and waterproof outer shell, a heat retention layer with down or fleece lining, and a base layer worn close to the skin. The two linings can be removed, so the jacket adapts to different temperatures. The shell is made of Gore TEX fabric, while shoulders, elbows and the lower hem use Cordura fabric and reflective fibers. A reflective membrane and a positioning system assist search and rescue.
